This conference follows the successful CAPRI EGM 2007 and its purpose is to join experts from all around the world and bringing together the different organizations involved in Gravity, Magnetics and ElectroMagnetics research and applications.
As it is well described in the recent Special Issue of Geophysical Prospecting (GP, Vol. 57, n.4, July 2009, pages: 461-753) the role of Gravity, Magnetic and ElectroMagnetic methods is continuously increasing in exploration geophysics and we aim with the new workshop at to assessing their added value for exploration, together with Academic and Research Institutions as well as Exploration industries.

The sessions are similar to those well experienced in the last meeting, with a new one dealing with researches inherent the analysis of data measured at different scales, from marine to satellite. This is because the growing availability of different data at various resolution and distance from the sources needs to be supported by valuable advances in the related techniques and interpretation algorithms. The other sessions are dedicated to new instrumentations, also involving simultaneous acquisition of tensorial nature, new interpretation methods, new techniques and codes to properly deal with large-scale problems and for simultaneous and multidimensional data inversion.

The whole program will assure a high-profile discussion of the latest innovative technological, methodological and interpretative topics of the gravity, magnetic and electromagnetic prospections, thus trying to assess their actual impact to for exploration.
