- Announced by SPE Italian Section (Society of Petroleum Engineers), Assorisorse (the Italian Sustainable Energy & Resources Industry Association) and EAGE (European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers).
- Who can apply: Philosophy Doctors and University Graduates in STEM disciplines, from Italian universities and Italian nationals graduated abroad, who have completed their studies in the period from October 1st 2023 to December 31st 2024 by submitting a thesis covering technical subjects related to Energy.
- Two rankings are made:
A: Master of Science (Laurea Magistrale) theses and Doctor of Philosophy (Dottorato di Ricerca) theses.
B: 2nd Level Master reports and Bachelor of Science (Laurea) theses. - The total to be won is €10800. Each thesis will be evaluated on quality indicators (document efficiency and execution) and on performance indicators (usefulness, significance, originality and innovation). The prizes are:
- Outstanding: € 2400 and a Certificate – superior quality and exceptional performance.
- Excellent: € 1200 and a Certificate – high quality and high performance.
- Most Significant: “Special mention Certificate” – high quality or high performance.

The award winners are invited in person to the Award Ceremony, in May 2025 at Politecnico di Milano, Piazza Leonardo da Vinci.
During the gathering, the senior management of the sponsoring Companies and Associations will give the awards and will debate on energy related themes with the Winners and with University Deans.
