
Italian Section EAGE SEG
Our Mission
The Italian EAGE-SEG Section is the meeting point for Italian applied geophysicists that are EAGE and/or SEG members, or that like receiving information about Italian geophysical activities. Membership is free, and can be requested online at this page or by formal written request by fax or by mail to the Secretariat.
The Italian Section goals are promoting geophysical science, the training and professional update of its members. Particular attention is devoted to Applied Geophysics for environment protection, mining, civil engineering, cultural heritage and archaeology, search for energy sources, reservoir study and modeling, hydrology.
The Section is a non-profit association active since 2001, officially recognized by EAGE and SEG as joint Italian reference point. Its activity is carried out by technical meetings and workshops, basic or specialized courses, search for technical and scientific personnel, Internet information, and exchange ideas in various forms.

The executive board elections are held every two years. All ordinary members who have applied to hold specific positions on the Board of Directors, namely the position of President, Vice-President and Board member, are eligible.
