EAGE SEG Italian Section
Our Mission
The EAGE-SEG Italian Section is the meeting point for Italian applied geophysicists who are members either of EAGE or SEG, or who are interested in receiving information on geophysical activities in Italy. Membership is free of charge, and must be requested online on this website or by sending a formal written request via email or ordinary post to the Secretariat.
The purpose of the Italian Section EAGE-SEG is to promote the geophysical sciences, training and professional updating of its members. Applied Geophysics for environmental protection, mining exploration, civil engineering, cultural heritage and archeology, research of energy sources, study and modeling of deposits, and research of water are the main topics of interest.
The Italian Section EAGE-SEG is a non-profit association, officially recognized by EAGE and SEG as a reference in Italy. Its activity is carried out through conferences and workshops, specialized or basic courses, research of technical-scientific personnel, Internet information, knowledge sharing and ideas in the most varied forms.

All the offices of the Board of Directors are carried out for free.
Elections to the Board of Directors are held every two years.
All ordinary members can candidate for specific positions in the Board of Directors, or the office of President, Vice-President and Councilor and are eligible.
