SEG, AAPG, and in conjunction with SEPM are hosting the second annual International Meeting for Applied Geoscience and Energy (IMAGE), 28 August–2 September in Houston, Texas at the George R. Brown Convention Center.
IMAGE ’22 has been designed and built by industry professionals as the place for geoscientists, energy professionals, and thought leaders to meet and shape the future of applied geosciences and energy. It will provide an influential platform for sharing best practices, discovering solutions, and developing new perspectives and strategies to challenge and plan for what’s ahead.
WELCOME FROM LOCAL ADVISORY CHAIR
Subsurface & the Energy Transition: Challenging the Status Quo
With gas and advantaged oil continuing to underpin evolving energy portfolios for decades to come and the need for carbon storage rising, coupled with growing footprints in renewable energy such as wind and geothermal, the need for subsurface talent will remain strong.
EAGE GeoTech 2022 plans to bring together a diverse audience of experts to focus on key challenges across the subsurface domain. This year’s workshops will seek to address how we optimise our maturing fields, advance the dial in Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) and explore the role of fibre in monitoring and verification.
The Sixth International Conference on Fault and Top Seals will take place from 26-28 September 2022 in Vienna, Austria. Past conferences were highly successful in bringing together scientists from different industries (petroleum, CO2 storage and radioactive waste disposal) and academia, with a wide range of backgrounds (geology, petroleum engineering, petrophysics, geophysics, modelling, geomechanics and geochemistry) to share experiences in this field.
The second EAGE Conference on Seismic Inversion will be an event of interest to geoscientists working in both industry and in academia. Seismic Inversion is a key process used extensively in exploration, production and geohazard studies. Inversion provides a way to visualize and analyze data at higher resolution than standard seismic, facilitating the estimations of reservoir properties, and acting as a link between rock physics and seismically interpreted structure models, ultimately improving the interpretation efficiency.
The Sixth International Conference on Fault and Top Seals will take place 26-28 September 2022 in Vienna, Austria.
Describing the properties of fault and top seals has been in the focus of different industries and applications. Not only do traditional methods of assessing fault and top seals remain crucial for exploration and production of petroleum reservoirs…
The Second EAGE Digitalization Conference and Exhibition is now rescheduled for 1-3 February 2022. The date has been changed to avoid a conflict with the EAGE 2021 Annual Conference & Exhibition which had to be postponed from its original June schedule due to likely COVID-19 health and safety restrictions.
