Italian SEG Challenge Bowl 2024

Nel corso del prossimo 42° Convegno Nazionale GNGTS a Ferrara, il giorno 14 Febbraio, si terrà la quindicesima Edizione dell’ Italian Challenge Bowl, ovvero la Grande Sfida a Quiz tra studenti di Geofisica Applicata.
La gara si svolge in inglese, ed è aperta a studenti di laurea e dottorato di ricerca. I partecipanti si iscrivono in squadre di due persone, idealmente una più esperta in geofisica ed una in geologia, vista l’interdisciplinarietà delle domande.

The annual EAGE Board elections are due to take place, with voting online beginning from 1 May to 1 June 2023. The Board is responsible for developing appropriate policies to achieve the objectives of EAGE in the interests of its members. We therefore invite all members to participate in the 2023 Ballot, as this is an important opportunity for you to have a say in how the Association is run on your behalf.

    New date for the 82nd EAGE Annual Conference and Exhibition
    In view of the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, EAGE is announcing today the postponement of the 82nd EAGE Annual Conference and Exhibition scheduled for 8-11 June in Amsterdam. We are now going to hold the event at the same venue (Rai Exhibition Centre, Amsterdam) in the week of 6 December 2020. We are confident that intending visitors, exhibitors and sponsors will understand the reasons for this decision and sincerely hope all those involved will be able to join us in December.

    We are working as speedily as possible on the impact of the new date and the implications for the planned programme. Even so, this may take time to clarify and we trust everyone will bear with us while we confirm the details. We are committed to providing information as soon as it is available and will be making regular contact with all participants via direct mailing. We can also always be reached at registration@eage.org.

    This has been a difficult decision but necessary to ensure the health and safety of our attendees, as well as the quality of the event. Our community is our number one priority, and we have been keeping in close contact with health authorities in the Netherlands and monitoring advice from the World Health Organization. It was clear that the Annual would have to be postponed and we are fortunate that a new date could be confirmed at the same venue.

    If already registered your registration will remain fully valid for the new dates.

    At this stage we appreciate your forbearance while we devote our energies to providing members, exhibitors and sponsors with an outstanding event in December. In the meantime, we fervently wish that everyone can stay safe and healthy.

    We are looking forward to seeing you in Amsterdam this December.
